Intensive English Program

Guru Test Prep’s Intensive English Program provides critically needed instruction in order to refine the writing, reading, listening, and speaking aptitude of international students who have a firm if still incomplete grounding in the fundamentals of standard orthodox English.  Designed for foreign students transitioning to American boarding schools and universities, the program trains students to recognize specific insights in English composition, i.e. the avoidance of passive voice and a relentless insistence on clarity and concision, the development of complex sentences of independent and dependent clauses married to each other, the preeminence of paragraph transition and thesis formation in writing, and a rigid yet creative adherence to grammar—just to name a few.  As they familiarize themselves with such profound strategies not even known to many native speakers, students will feel more comfortable in an increasingly urbane and sophisticated global network of academic and non-academic vocations.
